About Liam St. John

Liam St. John is a Chart-Topping blues artist splitting his time between Nashville and Los Angeles.

Liam’s debut full-length project, “stripped back”(June 2022) reached #1 in Top Blues Albums globally on Apple Music, followed up by a successful nationwide tour that wrapped with a sold-out show in Music City, USA. The album’s contents frequent the Spotify editorial playlists such as blues roots, acoustic blues, nu-blue, and POV: you sold your soul to the devil.

At the crossroads of the blues and rock & roll, Liam St. John commands his truest form by combining lyrics that embody the blues with their piercing and painful truth and delivering a captivating performance with vibrancy true to the spirit of rock and roll. Liam floods the room with electrifying energy, washing over every stage he graces.

St. John made his mark in Nashville after inking with King Pen Music by way of Warner Chappell at the end of 2022. This is the blues crooner’s first publishing deal. “I was knocked out by Liam’s voice when I first heard it,” shares King Pen Music President Kelly King. “He is such a creative and unique artist with a vision like no other. His music brings a fresh new look on blues and rock in this world.”

Liam St. John backs his powerhouse vocals with the swagger and passion of a gritty blues singer.

Liam paid his dues in the trenches of the live music scene. Before he was singing to sold-out crowds screaming his lyrics, he was playing at open mics and empty dive bars for nothing but a sip of well-whiskey.

In 2020, Liam wowed Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton on season 19 of NBC’s The Voice with his bluesy rendition of Marcy Playground’s “Sex and Candy”. Shelton was impressed by Liam’s versatility in the pocket, his falsetto, and his trademark soulful screams. Ultimately, St. John chose the decorated icon, Gwen Stefani, who described his voice as “incredible” and “rich.”

“Similar to a strong glass of whiskey, Liam St. John’s style won’t grow old or outdated.” - Indie Shuffle

Liam credits his foundation for singing to the legends he grew up listening to. From Ray Charles to Etta James, Sam Cooke, Louis Armstrong, and Tracy Chapman, the raw, gritty, blues-infused soul always surfaces in Liam’s songs and performances.

Liam’s song “NOT A GOOD MAN WALKING” debuted as the highest new entry (#42) on the Global Blues Charts for Spotify in the month of March, and is currently featured on two Spotify Editorial playlists, including Nu-Blue.

Liam’s song forefathers (Stripped Back) hit #4 on the Top Blues Charts in the legendary company of Etta James, Chuck Berry, B.B King, and Howlin Wolf. This was followed up by his singles “to the last penny (stripped back) which reached #5 and Dipped In Bleach (#9). This was Liam’s first time having 3 songs in the top ten simultaneously.
